At least for the tarako package, we need to replace SVGs with PNGs, because SVG consume more memory and take longer to load on Firefox OS at the moment. Plus, we don't actually need different scaling sizes atm. See https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.gaia/Qpg8tQBD_e0 for discussion on the same topic in gaia.
