Evaluate additional potential search suggestion options for Yahoo search plugin
There are a few options we can use to get more relevant search suggestions for Yahoo users. nresults: the number of results to return. We currently get ten results, but we could be explicit here (and we could request more or fewer) ipos: corresponds to cursor position and responds more to where you're editing things. Compare: https://search.yahoo.com/sugg/ff?command=family%20vehicle&appid=ffm&output=fxjson&ipos=0 vs. https://search.yahoo.com/sugg/ff?command=family%20vehicle&appid=ffm&output=fxjson&ipos=7 vs. https://search.yahoo.com/sugg/ff?command=family%20vehicle&appid=ffm&output=fxjson pq: previous query. Helps with relevance to current task. https://search.yahoo.com/sugg/ff?command=test&appid=ffd&output=fxjson&pq=test%20internet%20speed vs. https://search.yahoo.com/sugg/ff?command=test&appid=ffd&output=fxjson There's also geolocation as an option, but that's a much bigger question to answer, and probably worth considering in a separate bug.
ipos is kind of neat - but we'd need to rework a bunch of autocomplete API/logic to support it properly, which would be tricky. Not clear how we'd define "previous query" exactly, but it would also likely involve some autocomplete tweaking to properly support.
It probably wouldn't be a _ton_ of extra work, but both would require API changes to the service and suggestions. It's definitely something to keep in mind for the future. Working on finding out if other providers have similar API tweaks.
