Steps to reproduce:
1) Save an image in firefox
2) Open a file from firefox
Actual results:
1) KDE file dialog isn't used (chrome do this!)
2) Firefox don't know how to open file (chrome do this!)
Expected results:
1) KDE file dialog popup
2) Firefox use KDE mime types

I'm agree, that's the only reason I'm not using Firefox on my desktop. With KDE Firefox file dialog is pretty UGLY and nosense with KDE configurations (favorites, styles, etc)
On my work, I can use it because I'm using Gnome, but on KDE, makes me avoid Firefox.
I think this is not a normal bug, a big maybe, because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with this annoying problem and can lead to Firefox lower usage on market.
