Seeing a "no supported mime type or format" message. https://services.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/discovery/pane/29.0/darwin
Target Milestone: --- → 2014-04
I have some added information on this: when trying to load the video, here's what I have in the console: HTTP "Content-Type" of "text/html" is not supported. Load of media resource https://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/addons/fds0fo.mov failed. darwin HTTP "Content-Type" of "text/html" is not supported. Load of media resource https://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/addons/vuue2y.webm failed. darwin Specified "type" attribute of "video/ogv; codecs="theora, vorbis"" is not supported. Load of media resource https://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/addons/b85p03.ogv failed. So it's not even trying to load the first two videos (mp4 and webm) as they're served with the mimetype of "text/html" (instead of video/mp4 and video/webm respectively). And it then tries to load the ogg video. I'm not sure why the ogg video isn't working, but it could be because it's using the mimetype "video/ogv" instead of "video/ogg"? I believe there's two issues here: the first one is the mimetype used to serve the first two videos which isn't correct: this should be set on the server side. The second is the incorrect mimetype in the code for the ogg video. I'm not sure if it's using the mimetype from the "type" attribute or the mimetype from the server (in which case it will also need to be modified on the server). Here's a PR using "video/ogg" instead of "video/ogv": https://github.com/mozilla/olympia/pull/66
