I can reproduce at least on OSX Mavericks. STR 1. Click the bookmarks menu to make the panel appears 2. Click on another button or a link ER : The action is immediately triggered. CR : The first click outside the panel is consumed. Also see bug 596723 to see the normal behaviour.

I just reproduced it on OSX 10.11 with latest Nighlty. Note that it is specific to the bookmarks menu and not the star. STR are still valid : 1. Click the bookmarks menu to make the panel appears 2. Click on another button or a link ER : The action is immediately triggered. CR : The first click outside the panel is consumed.
