Steps to reproduce:

While traveling and offline, I composed a couple messages in my Mac Thunderbird and selected "Send Later".

When I got home in my regular wifi, I agreed to "Send unsent messages".  It seems to have sent them correctly, but failed to copy them to my (IMAP account) Sent folder.  It was spinning forever, and I closed the program and aborted the copy after several hours.

Now Thunderbird largely appears to be functioning correctly, but I cannot move or delete any emails between my IMAP folders.


Actual results:

When I attempt to move or delete an email, nothing happens - no move/delete, no error message, and no spinning dial.  It's like the whole email folder is "read only" or something.


Expected results:

Emails should have been moved or deleted.  The same IMAP account is behaving normally on Thunderbird 24 on a nearby Windows computer, so it's not the account, it's something about this particular Thunderbird installation.

Hello ,
I am using Thunderbird on Linux Mint 13 and 17 and I use POP.
When trying to add a new acount, I noticed I could not delete the emails.
In Thunderbird I could see the email was not deleted, no matter what I did.
Press delete, use mouse, nothing. However I also
have an older POP account in Thunderbird, with the same POP
settings (some company), and there I can delete emails.
I tested it with IMAP and then I could delete the emails, 
With my own profider I can delete emails in POP.
So why I can delete this one and not the other one, I can't tell.
There were also recent stories about not being able to delete pop emails
in Thunderbird on the internet.
Some people experienced the same thing as I did. Old pop accounts in
Thunderbird can delete emails inside Thunderbird, but when you make a
new pop account you can't delete it anymore.
Strange, right?
