User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140421221237
Steps to reproduce:
Open http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and download iTunes.
Firefox will ask for the location, where to save the file. Save it somewhere.
Some info: Windows 7 x86, all updates installed
Actual results:
The download starts, but no progress is visible. Also the file is still located as ".part" file with a random name in %temp%.
Expected results:
The download should start and the progress should be visible. After it is completed the file "iTunesSetup.exe" should be located at the location.
Could you reproduce in clean profile or firefox safe mode?

I can reproduce this in safe mode.
Flags: needinfo?(fre4ek7v)
I was able to reproduce this on two computers and one freshly set up virtual machine with Windows 7 x86 (all updates installed) and a completely new Firefox installation (no addons, no plugins, normal & safe mode).
WFM on Win8.1 with http://download.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/29.0/win32/de/Firefox%20Setup%2029.0.exe
But, dupe of bug 55690?
I don't think so.
I waited 1h after the file download has completed (no network usage anymore).
It is no partial file. I checked it by renaming it to ".exe" and checking its hashes. The file is complete, it simply doesn't get moved to its destination.
Also, it only happens with this file. I was able to download QuickTime and everything else.
