(Keywords: inputmethod)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140428194349

Steps to reproduce:

I updated Firefox 29 and found that Fcitx IM stopped follow cursor when typing. It works fine with Firefox 28.

Fcitx Version:4.2.8.3

Actual results:

When typing the input box just stuck at the left down corner and doesn't move at all.

Expected results:

With Firefox 28 Fictx IM input box shows up at the corner when typing the first key, and then it follows the input cursor while typing

I'm using Linux Mint 14 MATE(Ubuntu 12.10), and I can't find gtk-query-immodules. Also I can't install it because it is not among the source packages.
Component: Untriaged → Internationalization
Product: Firefox → Core
Well, I upgraded fcitx and now it works fine. So I'm not sure whether it's a bug of Firefox or not. But honestly I am kind of afraid of Firefox 30 upgrade.
I've recently upgraded from Firefox 28 to 35, and meet this problem.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0, on Arch Linux, fcitx 4.2.8.20150204 (that's the latest git version).

The problem exists only with preedit off. With preedit on, it follows. With preedit off, the input window just sits at the corner. But with preedit on there are some problems with some webpages that listening to user input (as they take preedit text as normal input), and the duplicate preedit entry (when inputing Chinese) is distracting for me.

Hope you can find out and fix the problem, thanks!

This might be fixed by bug 1120851.
Could anyone test this on Nightly 42? I think that is already fixed on the latest Nightly.
I've tried firefox-42.0a1.zh-CN.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2 and it works for me :-)
