Mason, it would be great if the perf team could also take a look at the app and contribute to profiling and investigating it. The more data we have the better the feedback we can take back to Connect2A. It also seemed hard to profile apps that get OOM'd as the PID is invalid. Any insight on that would help.

While 014 works for me I tried the version and could not see my messages. I see one error in console: ReferenceError:moment is not defined. I can't see Contacts and can not start a new chat.

I also could not see a new option in Config to disable the background websocket; if that is what already should be in there.

We have some functional error as I said in comment13. Nevertheless this bug (Send photo/video/audio will cause app be killed by LMK) was filed for version 14 of ConnectA2, and it is technically possible to reproduce that it is not happening now with version 15 pre-release.

More over due this attached version 15 it not a final version. We didn't merge the functionality to disable of background websocket yet, but it will be there in the final version.

I couldn't get it to send a message (return added a new line, rather than sending the message) and the chat history was entirely blank, but it did successfully send a photo and a video to my Android app.

Just so everyone's clear - there is only one Marketplace. What is seen on the 'Tarako Marketplace' are the apps that have been tagged as Tarako compatible.

We have modified the multimedia queue in order to do it more reliable. Moreover, now, the multimedia files are sent one by one, instead of multithreading, which reduce the memory consumption.

Hello Yang,

Usually, this is because or you don't have Internet in the device or the Date is wrong. Could you please check your Internet connection in the device? And could you please check the Date and Time?

These errors should show a error message to the user, but we have moved this fix to v16 because only a few people complaint about this. If you consider it is urgent, we could merge v16 solutions.

We have planned to publish ConnectA2 v15 this week and ConnectA2 v16 next week. I mean, if there are not blocking bugs in ConnectA2 v15, we would like to send it for review this week, in other case, we could merge v15 with v16 for next week.

We don't send for review new versions without QA passed. Only in some cases we send some release candidates to third parties without QA, for technical reviews. Nevertheless, when a new version has more features or it is solving a huge amount of bugs, we can consider sending it for review with some P3/P4 issues.

    Firstly ,I think you may not want to give us the source code.Meanwhile we may not care about the fixing process of the issues.

Dolphin use v1.4 branch and cherry picked some uplifts from 1.3t.
For this bug, dolphin has similar LMK issue when sending large video/audio/picture. But the reproduce rate is lower than tarako since it has more RAM.

A lighter version of ConnectA2 could help. Per comment 76, "ConnectA2 v16 which is pending for review in Marketplace should solve both issues.", we will test after the new version comes out.

    Our QA download the ConnectA2 from the marketplace and verify it on 16th June,the following issues were found:
    1) Very slow while using app.
    2) Crash automatically while uploading video/audio from gallery.
    3) Very slow while opening camera.
    4) Crash atomatically while attaching photo in background through gallery.
    5) Fail to show the send option, when long string is inserted in chat window.
    6) Sometimes fail to show keypad in chats.

I'd like to know that if the new version has uploaded to Marketplace on 16th June ?If not,which version is it on 16th June ?Thank you.

Yang, ConnectA2 v16 was just approved. So the one you download on 16th was not the latest. And I'm supposing you are talking about Dolphin. Please ask your QA to test after Camera performance issue was resolved.

Hello Yang,

We have uploaded ConnectA2 v16 on 16th June, but it is not physically possible to publish a new version without the approval of Mozilla (which was done today CET time). This approval sometimes takes hours, sometimes takes weeks, it is out of our scope. It depends on the load of work for Mozilla reviewer team.

As far as I know, this week they were very busy and they make us a favor reviewing the App in only 3 days.

Thus, you were testing ConnectA2 v15 on Monday 16th. You can go to Menu -> About us, to check the version you are testing.

1,Download the conneceA2 from Marketplace
2,Enter the app and click "refresh" to try to import contacts from the phone
3,But no contacts are displayed, it just stays in 'loading' state.

For 322542, It is a P4 issue for Latin countries. We will upgrade it to P1 in ConnectA2 v017
For 322551, It should be not a problem if ConnectA2 is reloaded on background after the incoming call is finished.

   The following issues are reported:
   most of the time, there is connection time out issue for this. We have tried since morning and SMS came after 5 trials(i.e.5X5=25 minutes), after that it had timeout. Another issue in this is not able to send videos, photo capture etc. 
--> Issue is after configuring the Connect A2 and importing Whatsapp Chat, while using it for sometime suddenly application exit 
--> It can happen while Chatting, Sending Video through File Manager or Camera, sending Image through Camera 

I also tried 016d version, using two phone with two SIM card ,one SIM card has been registered last month, but this SIM card couldn't register again,just stay on register page and couldn't jump to the next 'confirm code' page.The other SIM card is new,I tried twice to get confim code, but no sms is sended.I'll attach the screenshots of the two phones later.

Hi Yang,

SIM_has_been_registered_before: 

Could you please check if the time and date is OK in the mobile device? The App doesn't check if the date is correct yet and in case of wrong date > or < 2 days, the registration doesn't work. We will put it as P1 to include it in next RC.

Moreover you should wait 8300 seconds for next SMS. So wait around 3 hours before trying to register again with this number.

The other SIM card:

Maybe you have request the SMS recently, try using voice call.

Hi Yang,

"connection time out": maybe related with time and date in the device... if this is not the case, we will need the phone number for checking it.

"not able to send videos"; we need the following information:

- Tarako or Dolphin?
- File sizes.
- Example of file which doesn't work. For big files, please use 'www.wetransfer.com'.

"while using it for sometime suddenly application exit": Tarako and/or Dolphin?

I think this is because the App cache is full of data and you got a OOM. The App uses cache for speeding up the navigation. We will try to reduce the cache in next RC.
