Steps to reproduce:

Begining State: 
- tab group 1 - 2 tabs: tab 11, tab 12; this is the active tab group
- tab group 2 - 2 tabs: tab 21, tab 22
- in both tab groups - the last tab is active
To Reproduce
- click on tab 11 (to enable it)
- then switch tab groups via the shorcut (Ctrl + `)
- the switch is done incorrectly - instead of now seeing tab group 2 (tab 21, tab 22), we see: tab 12 and tab 22

- additionally, now clicking on one the inactive tab will change the tabs being shown in correctly again 



Expected results:

What should have happened is the tab groups should be fully independent and the shortcut should switch between them correctly.

Yes it is - it was introduced with v29 - I was using tab groups extensivelly in v28 and this didn't exist.

This has bothered me since the advent of v29, too.  The only additional information I can add is that it only appears to show the wrong or mixed up tab group when I am hovering a tab with my mouse pointer and then switch via Ctrl + `

Panorama is gone as of 2016. Replacements https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/panorama-tab-groups/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/simple-tab-groups/

But there is a request to bring it back per Bug 1509350 - Provide tab groups (panorama)
