This bug seems to appear when downloading multiple downloads until the download panel reveals "other downloads". It then calculates all downloads in download history rather than just that one download.

it should only show downloads in the session, was this a multi-days browsing session?
Do you have any add-ons that may be interacting with downloads?

It seems my downloads go back to December the third so it may be an add-on,

I'll try with addons disabled.

This may be a dupe of bug 966514 -- the symptom certainly looks similar. Rika, could you provide steps to reproduce this in a new Firefox profile?
