Currently, it is not possible to 'Switch to Tab' on sites that do mobile redirection on-load. Open link open, we currently show the 'Switch to Tab' context on the items for a second before we hide it again — it's a tease. The 'Switch to Tab' access on the item is removed when the site on-load does a redirect.
This is reproducible with my desktop bookmarks. E.g, I have bookmarked, Slashdot (http://www.slashdot.org). On tap of that synced bookmark, we show the 'Switch to Tab' for a split second and then it is removed when the site redirects to http://m.slashdot.org.
We should be smarter in our 'Switch to Tab' logic in that it should be smart enough to know that the opened link matches the one that is listed in our bookmarks/history/top-sites etc. Or perhaps, it can match based on tab title (e.,g "Slashdot")?

More of a 'quality of life' issue; supposed feature functionality that doesn't work in all instances.
