I don't know whether this falls into Bookmarks or Keyboard Navigation or something else. Ideally somebody can re-file as necessary. STR: 1. Open a new tab and go to an unbookmarked page, I used http://planet.mozilla.org/ 2. Press Ctrl-W to close the page. Observe that this works as intended. 3. Repeat step 1. 4. Press Ctrl-D to bookmark the page. 5. Press Ctrl-W to close the page. Expected: The page closes. Actual: Nothing happens. Clicking somewhere in the content area of the page is required to get focus back to the proper place. Ctrl-D + Ctrl-W is very useful for remembering and clearing out tabs, and it's a drain to have to click around after you realize (yet again) that Ctrl-W isn't working properly.
Component: General → Bookmarks & History
There are a couple details here to clarify: 1. we changed the flow, now CTRL+D shows the star panel with focus on the name field, I think before we were just starring 2. on the Mac it seems to WFM 3. I couldn't reproduce it on Linux too (Ubuntu) If it still does't work for you, please post more details about the window manager and other related stuff
