Adobe has updated Flash since the last crash. Haven't tried with Win7 (which has all recent updates but is running Firefox 28), but will do so and report.
Firefox v.28 displays pages normally (including referenced problem page in previous comment) on Win7 OS laptop using Adobe Flash 13.0.0.206 and latest Java update.
Additional info not included in attachment: Webpage where problem occurred: http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/astoria-ny/11106/current-weather/4083_pc FF does not show radical increase in memory use when Flash crashes on this site. FF closes normally without persisting as a background process on this site. With some sites, esp. the site referred to in the other attachment, FF will switch to a background process and not unload until user (me) clicks "End Task" or shuts the computer down. I'll try to document more and observe if one of the recent numerous Win8.1 updates fixed this (one update ref. to an error reporting bug).

We're in the process of removing support for plugins (bug 1677160), so I think this bug is irrelevant now.
