If a facebook friend is imported as a contact, and the facebook profile picture is very wide, the image will not display appropriately in contact detials view. Only the bottom portion of the image is visible, along with a significant amount of whitespace.
This issue has only been observed when the profile is downloaded from facebook. locally created profiles do not exhibit this behavior.
Repro Steps:
Prerequisite: Have a facebook friend whos profile picture is much wider than it is tall. ie: 1/4 height/width ratio
1) Update a Tarako to BuildID: 20140506014003
2) Launch contacts app and sign into Facebook profile if necessary.
3) Import facebook contact with very wide profile picture.
4) Observe imported contacts profile details page.
Actual:
only bottom portion of image is visible, along with a large amount of whitespace.
Expected:
Image occupies entire viewing area.
v1.3T Environmental Variables:
Device: Tarako v1.3T MOZ
BuildID: 20140506014003
Gaia: aef737f4eae863949d4b42cd6c17339aec3a5fa0
Gecko: cd0c51278ae5
Version: 28.1
Firmware Version: SP6821a-Gonk-4.0-4-29
Notes:
This issue only occurs if the contact is imported from facebook
It appears that the device doesnt take the aspect ratio of the image into account, and only looks at the width of the image, then auto-assumes the height based on predefined aspect ratio
Repro frequency: 100%
