Keywords: hang
Summary: Firefox constantly crashing → Firefox constantly hanging
Steps to reproduce the problem. open firefox, go to youtube.com that's it. If I visit Youtube, It just hangs, I get the not responding message, and I have to close it down using task manager, as this is the only way I can close it down. Hope that helps.

Everything is ok to me on youtube.com, 32.0a1 (2014-05-12) Win 7 x64. Please check if the issue occurs using Firefox in safe mode (with your addons disabled): http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode And on a new, empty profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

I knew just after hitting save changes this morning, that you were going to come back with a "have you tried it in safe mode?" question. YES! that was the first thing I did. Just the record, I've tested it with no addons, in safe mode, and not in safe mode. I've tried it with 'hardware acceleration' OFF as well, in safe mode and not in safe mode with addons disabled.. And yes I'm running the latest version of windows 7 32 bit. I have tried just about everything I could think of. I have NO issues viewing youtube in either Chrome, or IE. This issue only arose after the what I call 'Chrome-esq' update. where you changed the layout of FF. So the only common only feature here is FF. I know for a fact I'm not the only person that this is happening to. Do yourselves a favor and google 'firefox "not responding" youtube'. There are A LOT of people out there that are having the Not Responding Issue. I'll just continue using Chrome until I hear that the bug has been fixed. It's sad, I've loved using Firefox over the years. Mozilla Firefox is going to lose a lot of market share with these issues, if they aren't resolved VERY quickly.

Do you use Flash Player or youtube's HTML 5 ? If Flash, make sure to have the latest version.
Flash, and yes it's the latest version.
I didn't want to say anything along these lines for fear of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, but it looks like I'm not the only person that is thinking the same thing, "Is Google crippling Firefox?" https://medium.com/info-sec/cb9ad1292ea3
Andrew, are you still experiencing this issue?
