User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140506030204
Steps to reproduce:
Use an ico file with multiple sizes (eg. http://www.microsoft.com/favicon.ico) either source in an IMG-tag, or open the file directly in the browser URL
Actual results:
The smallest image version is displayed in both cases, even though the ico file would contain high res versions. If the img-tag is set to a fixed size, then the image will be very blurry.
Expected results:
The expected result, should be as in Chrome. I.e. the highest resolution in the file should be taken. In such a case the icon will be crisp clear.
An enhanced algorithm could use the best suited size, according to the target size. Eg. using the 16x16 version if the img is shown in 16px size, and using the 128x128 size if the img is display for example with 64px.
