We're assessing 64 bit Fx and want to understand how many windows users can potentially install it.

We want Fx desktop users by OS version. For Windows, that would mean segmented enough that we'd see both the OS flavor and version/edition. We want to know how many have a 64 bit OS right now. We also want to see how many are running a deprecated OS (i.e. XP) that may need to move to a new OS.

This week's dataset isn't ready yet, so this will be delayed. bcolloran can you ping here when the deorphaned data is ready?

Javaun, it turns out that bug 959356 was broken and so we're not recording this data in FHR. I can pull some numbers from telemetry, but the population may be skewed in unknown ways. Or we can wait until FF30 data in ~5 weeks. What would you like?

As noted on IRC, crash-stats shows that at least 50% of our crashes are from users running win32.

Thanks Benjamin. I'll wait for bug 959356. As you note, we already have a caveated estimate based on crash-stats. If this becomes more critical to a decision on 64 prior to the Fx30 launch, we'll revisit this.
