Re: error.sync.reason.serverMaintenance On force sync desktop shows "Sync encountered an error ... Firefox Sync server maintenance is underway" On pull to refresh of the remote tabs menu on Android nothing is shown. There should be a toast showing only that error.
IIRC desktop doesn't show this anymore. See Bug 1398293 for surfacing more error states.
