From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20010913
BuildID: 2001091303
If I attempt to open a website via Ctrl-Shift-L and then type the URL, if the
site is one I've been to before (such that it is listed in the drop-down list),
but I complete the URL by keyboard (no mouse intervention), and hit enter, the
box is populated, but the browser will not open the URL (though the drop-down
list does disappear). I must hit enter a second time to actually go to the URL.
If I've never been to that URL before, the drop-down list doesn't appear and
hitting enter once works.
But this is extremely annoying when just trying to type a quick site, and should
be consistent with Windows UI conventions.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a website (ex. slashdot.org)
2. Open a new browser window and hit Ctl-****-L
3. Type "slashdot.org" in the box
4. Hit enter
5. Must hit enter a 2nd time to actually go to website
Actual Results: See description
Expected Results: Browser should open the URL immediately upon hitting enter
even if it's already in the drop-down list
