User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140506152807 Steps to reproduce: I have the Firefox window open in restored mode (non-maximised) and drag it slightly off the screen to the top-right, so that when I mouseover the top or right side of the browser, it doesn't turn the mouse into the resize window cursor. Actual results: After restarting Firefox, it moves it a few pixels so that the browser is fully in the screen, no longer slightly out of the screen. Expected results: The Firefox window should have stayed exactly where I left it, slightly outside of the screen.
Note: this also occurs if you return to your computer after the screen goes blank from power savings mode.
I believe this is deliberate behaviour per bug 864107. I don't think we want to fix this.

Yeah, Gijs is correct. This was indeed an implicit change to fix bug 864107. It is quite hard to tell whether people want to have windows outside of the screen bounds and whether they're ok with it. We assume that most people have no use for windows that are fully or even partially outside of their screen bounds.
Can you make it optional then? This is ridiculously annoying. I have to drag the browser around (carefully/painstakingly) every single day, sometimes several times a day.
Requesting this as an optional setting. I feel as if FF fixed one 'bug', only to introduce another.
