Maybe expected, but filing anyway using Open C and Flame on Master:

STR:
1. Start typing an address in the To, cc or bcc fields. Notice that the text turns red and the underline while you are typing is also shown in red.
2. Start typing in the subject field - the text shows in black while the underline is in blue.

The mismatch just seems a bit odd to me.
I do not believe the underline should be there at all, filed bug 1009900 to track that, so going to dupe this bug to that one, as there is a pull request in progress for that other one.
