V2 of the website will have navigation for Operators. As part of that navigation path we intend to provide information helpful to the Operators in finding a Firefox OS OEM/ODM. Please provide copy and or/mockup for this section. DRAFT outline: i) current list of OEM Partners (see also https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/os/devices/ which is also on the mobilepartners site. ii) Existing devices and links to specs iii) Contact informaiton for the OEM/ODM (are there any legal issues that need to be cleared before providing this?) iv) email address for bug or webform to Mozilla BD department who can help direct to a specific individual OEM contact.

Carriers usually have local contacts for each of the OEMs. ODM's might require more contact information. Again, Thomas Ho would be a great resource for this. iv) use this: mobilebd@mozilla.com

Karen, the current list of OEM/ODM partners, are the ones shown in the devices page. For those who are not, they don't want to be named yet (e.g., Sony). Not that I don't want to provide info here, but I'm curious on how much value of our list here. If operator/carriers are interested in Firefox OS, they'll surely make request to the OEM/ODM partners they work with. For those device partners not doing Firefox OS yet, they'll then come to us, if there's sufficient request. I think this flow could actually enlarge the device partners working on Firefox OS. What do you think?

For those who are not, they don't want to be named yet (e.g., > > Sony). I don't think this is always true. Sony is definitely keeping quite, understood. But there are OEM/ODM partners that are the opposite - that want as many potential partners to know they have started work on this platform, so they can drum up volume of sales. Our website is a great funnel for them. > > > > Not that I don't want to provide info here, but I'm curious on how much > > value of our list here. If operator/carriers are interested in Firefox OS, > > they'll surely make request to the OEM/ODM partners they work with. For We are building a site that is helpful to Operators and is trying to be self-service. I think it would be easier for an operator to see who we are currently working with (OEM/ODM's that wish to be public) than it would be to have an Operator inquire into all their partners. Anything to make it easier for Operators/OEM's to move forward without contacting us should be posted or linked on this site. > > those device partners not doing Firefox OS yet, they'll then come to us, if The goal of the Mobile Partners site is to reduce the number of partners needing to engage us. This is a huge friction point for us to scale. So from the BD perspective, the more information we can provide, the better. > > there's sufficient request. I'm happy to discuss this further, but I don't fully understand the suggestion.

If a new carrier wants to have Firefox OS devices, they'll ask their device partners. For those device partners that are interested in our stuff but not on board yet, they'll come to the Mobile Partners site. This was the flow that I was referring to. Actually, I propose to have something like attachment 8442076 [details] somewhere on the Mobile Partners site. This is the one slide that I always see, whenever and whoever is making a Firefox OS introduction.
Grace - do we have permission to put all the partners shown in attachment 8442076 [details] directly on the site?

Hi John - this bug was overlooked when Grace left Mozilla. Who on your team can check / provide clearance to use the logos in the attachment on the Mobile Partner site?

Karen, Natalia is looking after Product Marketing and this area specifically, so will be in touch latest next week given the Orange meetings the next few days.

Hi, in the "partners" section of the mozilla.org website we currently list some of our key partners : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/partners/ My reco is to align with the new version of this site + the MWC announcements (if we want to add icons of new partners). Diana is in charge of the website (working with Jennifer). List being worked here : https://docs.google.com/a/mozilla.com/spreadsheets/d/1RCj0AmX0ex7yXbBrP_KNdlYlhR0OqFVvbPvbm3M16ns/edit#gid=0
bug number for the mozilla.org partners update : Bug 1120686
Added this line to the Devices in Market section at the bottom of the page: "Are you an OEM or ODM interested in joining the list of FxOS device manufacturers? Contact us: mobilebd@mo"zilla.com" No changes (other than Confirming email address is correct) are needed because the page already links to a list of devices showing current OEM partners. Next step, after confirm email is correct, then adding the text to the Chinese version of the site is needed.
