Firefox 28.0 on my Ubuntu 12.10 desktop crashes on shutdown somewhere between 25% and 50% of the time. After shutdown, there will be a single hung Firefox process, often gobbling up large amounts of CPU until I do a Kill -9:

This seems to be more likely to happen if FF has been involved in any high-memory operations like video.
This did not happen with 27.0 AFAIK.

Firefox 28 is old. The current stable version is Firefox 29. Please update and see how that goes first.

FF 29.0 appears to have fixed this issue. Closing.
