We should update elmo/a10n to python 2.7. See also bug 1005361 for the lack of security updates. For a10n, that sounds fairly straight forward, there's a 2.7 package in our repos. Rob? For elmo, our old ubuntu VM is likely going to be a tad more opinionated, I've found docs on the internet, but likely need more checking. Possibly need to really run through a process on a local VM first. Not sure if we can get IT to help?
Morphing this bug to just be able a10n, since that's relatively straightforward. We should upgrade all of elmo at some point soon too, but let's leave that to a separate bug.
