This bug is to track progress on my GSoC Project to make xpcshell tests pass
with maildir set as the default mailbox format.

We have maildir implementation in Thunderbird, but it isn't exposed
in the front-end. This project aims at making xpcshell tests pass so that
maildir implementation seems more reliable and we can switch to it.
This will be another step to make a push to maildir implementation in Thunderbird.
