Steps to reproduce:

The Panels introduced in Australis are always aligned to either the far right or far left depending on whether or where it is on the screen.



Expected results:

According to the mockup, these panels should be slightly more centered. This reduces motion of the mouse when selection menu items. It also makes us more consistent with Safari.

I had some embarrassing grammar issues in the original post. Here's a revision if clarification is needed.

Steps to reproduce:

You probably do. It's consistent behavior across all platforms. Could you take a look at the interactive mockup Stephen Horlander created and compare how the panel is slightly outside the browser window? The change I'm talking about should be obvious then.

Let me know if a screenshot is still necessary or should be provided.

Attachment: 3 way comparison between current stable, mockup, and Safari

In the stable, panels are aligned as far left as possible. In the mockup, the panel is slightly shifted to the right. (Although still aligned mostly to the left). In Safari, panels are completely centered. Just a trivial user experience quirk.

I'm not sure what the intended behavior we're looking for is.
