Latest Mac nightly (retina display) Open a new tab page and then press and hold cmd + p to see the page jostle between 6 and 9 tiles. There's some kind of timing issue there, I think, perhaps during the sizing or positioning of the search box which I can see visibly flicker when opening new tabs. <AsaDotzler> my nightly mac build is switching between 6 and 9 tiles seemingly randomly. <AsaDotzler> when creating a new tab <AsaDotzler> if I open a dozen or so, it's alternates pretty consistently, but when I switch back to the previously opened tabs, they're all 9 tiles <AsaDotzler> there's something flickering in the left of the search box, looks like a button style for a tiny fraction of a second. <AsaDotzler> if I open a series of tabs quickly, then I get 9 tiles more often. If i open a series of tabs slowly, I get 6 tiles more often. <AsaDotzler> size or position of search box is changing some tiny fraction. I can see it simply reloading a new tab page <AsaDotzler> simpler demonstration: just hold down command+r for a few seconds and watch the various renditions of the new tab page. <@gavin> AsaDotzler: can you file that and cc :adw / :mardak? <AsaDotzler> Sure!
Also seen occasionally on my Win8 x64 box running nightlies - but never with enough of a pattern for me to speculate on what might be causing it.

I'm not seeing this anymore, are you still able to reproduce it?
Flags: needinfo?(asa)
Not seeing it with the same steps to repro so either it's fixed or diminished. I'm OK with resolving this since I can no longer repro with these steps.
