Steps to reproduce:

checked the checkbox Settings>Developer>enable home button



Actual results:

Nothing


Expected results:

software home button should have displayed at the bottom.

Firefox 23? It seems to old to support Gaia master. Please upgrade your gecko version to latest m-c if you are running Gaia master (should be 2.0 afterward).

Hi we tried using both 1.4 and 1.3 as specified by firefoxos

1.3.0	December 9, 2013	March 17, 2014		Gecko 28	Gecko 28
1.4.0	March 17, 2014	             TBD		Gecko 30	Gecko 30

we used gaia 2.0 with gecko 30 versions, but we are not able to get software home button.

I have same issue in the past, but I got a soft home button in recent versions.

You are using phone or tablet. For tablet software_home_button.js file we need to modify? For mobile it is coming, for tablet it is not coming. Pls any one can suggest me.

Only tablet, I saw a virtual home button in recent build from dropbox[1], although it seems does not the effect while be tapped.

I currently unable see the in past few build (20140912), no the soft home button, and no relevant settings. Who knows the related changes?

Also, I found the "always set homegesture enabled on tablet, so hide the setting" comment in source code, so the setting item are not visible may be normal.
