What problems would this solve?
===============================
When I am searching MDN I am never interested in XUL and most often not in SVG. These articles get really high ranking and push DOM/JS API results down.
Example: Search for "filter" doesn't have Array::filter until the second page.
Who would use this?
===================
Web and JavaScript developers
What would users see?
=====================
Favorite topics that are re-applied as filter when starting a new search which makes results more relevant.
What would users do? What would happen as a result?
===================================================
Either by default or by choice remember the currently selected topics from a search and re-apply them on a new search.
Is there anything else we should know?
