I just repeated a really surprising xorg crash by loading the following pdf: https://wiki.mozilla.org/File:Q1-Q3_2013_Resource_Survey_Flash_Report_v2.pdf load the pdf with pdfjs, zoom in/out. debug info: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/5206759 Using ubuntu 13.10 with the open source graphics driver for amd/ati cards, all up-to-date. Never had a xorg crash like this with other software, yet. Any other info i can provide?
Do you have crash report from about:crashes?

This should apply if the x server crashes: http://timeless.justdave.net/blog/143/ and you should report this crash to your x vendor
(In reply to Yury Delendik (:yury) from comment #1) > Do you have crash report from about:crashes? No crash report was logged because xorg crashed and took Firefox down. That laptop's video card also broke around that time, which seems to relate to this crash - everything stopped working, even OS boot failed. I didnt have access to bugzilla until now. Sorry for the delay. Now I have a new laptop, different hardware, ubuntu 14.04 and newer firefox. No crashes.
