From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.4+) Gecko/20010914 BuildID: 2001091403 Crash if: Start Copernic Invoke Mozilla from Copernic Shutdown Copernic. Suspect DDEML.DLL conflict. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Copernic Basic 5.0.2 2. Search for "Steve Maguire", (for example). 3. Double-click on first entry to start Mozilla. Page loads. 4. On task bar, go back to Copernic. 5. File/Exit Copernic. Actual Results: DrWatson dump occurs; Mozilla stays open. Expected Results: Copernic should exit normally. Step 3, and maybe 2, seems essential. When I tried: 1. Start Copernic Basic 5.0.2 2. Open Mozilla 3. Go Home on Mozilla. 4. On task bar, go back to Copernic. 5. File/Exit Copernic, no crash occurred. It's possible this ia a Copernic bug, a Mozilla bug, or a synergistic interaction between the two, such as a conflict in allocating/releasing DDEML.DLL. I'm posting here so engineers from both organizations can work together. I have already reported this problem to Copernic, and received ticket 45082 from tnem, requesting more information. I'll let Copernic support know about this report, and suggest they join the discussion.

Copernic tech support has asked me for Tools/Options/General settings. Here are the ones I sent: 1) In Tools/Options/Visual/General, all three TextLabels & Ad Banners checkboxes are on. 2) In Tools/Options/Browser/General, I have: Search Results: Use Result Explorer Browser: Use an alternate (F:\mozilla.org\Mozilla\mozilla.exe)
Marking these all WORKSFORME sorry about lack of response but were very overloaded here. Only reopen the bug if you can reproduce with the following steps: 1) Download the latest nightly (or 0.9.6 which should be out RSN) 2) Create a new profile 3) test the bug again If it still occurs go ahead and reopen the bug. Again sorry about no response were quite overloaded here and understaffed.
