Description

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/34.0.1847.137 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

I have a page that loads an Iframe pointing to an RSS feed on the same domain.
The page then tries to read the content of the framed rss

Actual results:

The document variable of the iframe page is not accessible, upon further investigation I found out that when viewing an RSS (in an Iframe or a direct link) firefox fails to recognize the domain of said document.
specifically document.domain is null.

Expected results:

I believe that the same origin policy should allow reading data from a frame on the same domain as it's parent.
Component: General → DOM
The RSS viewer in Firefox runs with expanded privileges, not with the privileges of the site, so it's not same-origin with the site.

We've now made it impossible to frame the feed reader, and we're unlikely to change the document.domain, either. bug 819475 means it's now "".
