Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20010913 BuildID: 2001091303 "N" does not go to the next unread msg, it skips the whole thread. Same for space bar. Reproducible: Always
There's definitely something wrong with the behavior of the 'Next Message' button. Sometimes it seems to work correctly, other times not. Is it supposed to be 'Next in Thread' or 'Next in List'? In other words, when you have a thread collapsed in the list, is it supposed to enter the thread or skip to the next thread? The case that always seems to screw up for me is this... I click 'Sender' to sort on Sender. Then I scan the list in alphabetical order for my name. Finally, I click the 'outline' widget to re-shuffle everything into threads. (This is the easiest way to find your original question and the responses to it - in NS4, the 'outline' widget also re-positioned the list so the 'current line' was on the screen - Mozilla doesn't do that, but it would be nice). Anyway, after doing all this, the 'Next Message' button doesn't seem to bring up the next in thread or even the next thread. Almost looks like it brings up the next item by date/time.
This should be covered by bug 60139. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 60139 ***
