Since this looks similar to bug 99276, are you by chance blocking images that
don't come from originating server ?
(in Preferences -> privacy & Security -> Image).

Marking these all WORKSFORME sorry about lack of response but were very
overloaded here. Only reopen the bug if you can reproduce with the following steps:

1) Download the latest nightly (or 0.9.6 which should be out RSN)
2) Create a new profile
3) test the bug again

If it still occurs go ahead and reopen the bug. Again sorry about no response
were quite overloaded here and understaffed.

Chris Lee, this seems to work for me using 0.9.6 on win2k.
Are you still see the problem? Or perhaps is the problem described by Gilles
Durys in comment #1? Thanks in advance.

Just set up 0.9.6 on linux and it seems to be OK, so my windows version must be
confused, any ideas what to rip out before reinstalling so it does not retain
this problem?
I have reinstalled 0.9.6 over the top but it makes no difference on the windows
machine.
