I'm not sure if this is needed as updating icons in the manifest should do it. Taking to investigate.

Hey Peter - hope this didn't cause you too much extra work. Turns out this is not needed and will automatically happen when we solve bug 1014591. We will simply downscale the smallest icon to be what we need. This generally has good results. Once bug 1014591 is resolved, we can look at special casing any icons that may be distorted, but I think we should be ok.
