From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.4+) Gecko/20010926
BuildID: 2001092603
Java plug-ins are installed and show just fine in about:plug-ins.
However, if you try the Debug/verification/applets test, you get the install
plug-in puzzle.
If you click on it two or three times, the java applet works even though you
don't do the install.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. check Java plug-ins installed
2. run Debug/verification/applets
3. get plug-in message shows instead of the clock.
Expected Results: clock shows

Have you tried the Java-installation instructions in the release notes?

Has been running just fine with 9.3, 9.4, and builds up to 2001092603. Problem
started with 2001092603.
I just tried it again and it worked this time. I had tried it several times
prior to posting the bug report.
A thought just occurred to me. Does the "get plug-in" message appear as a
default until the class file is fetched from
http://java.sun.com/openstudio/applets/classes?
If so, this could cause the problem if the fetch gets hung up for any reason.
