Steps to reproduce:

Open on top menu "Options"  
After Select "Advanced" tab
After Click "Never check for updates (not recommended:security risk)"
After UnClick in "Automatically Update" area "Search Engines" box
The box "Use a background service to install updates" is clicked.
At the time of installing Firefox unclicked all box on message about services.




Actual results:

After one day Firefox was updated by itself from version 25 to version 29 without my permission.


Expected results:

Never be updated automatically.

I think this bug is a duplicate of Bug 923585. Particularly, you can try the workaround suggested at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=923585#c5
