What did you do? ================ 1. Tried to sign in to MDN, was directed to use my Persona account 2. Signed in using my existing Persona; [myname]@gmail.com 3. Landed on https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/users/browserid_register 4. Tried to add my username; theinsomnianiac 5. Got message "the username you entered already exists" 6. Thought 'Oh Bugger! My Persona account has a different email address than the one I used on MDN' 7. Went and set up a new Persona using the other email address 8. Signed in using my new Persona; [myusername]@gmail.com 9. Landed on https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/users/browserid_register 10. Tried to add my username; theinsomnianiac 11. Got message "the username you entered already exists" 12. Sighed a very deep sigh... 13. Entered my username under 'Forgot your email?' What happened? ============== I landed on a page with the following message; No email found for this account Could not find email for theinsomnianiac. Please file a bug [http://mzl.la/mdn-bug] to restore your account. What should have happened? ========================== At this point the 'Forgot your email?' option should have found the email address associated with my username and sent a reminder to that address which would have enabled me to log in/set up my profile using that address. Is there anything else we should know? ====================================== I am 99% convinced that my username [theinsomnianiac] was originally associated with the email address [myusername]@gmail.com however it may also have been associated with the one I use for this account [myname]@gmail.com
