Description:
After user installs app from Marketplace, re-opening Marketplace shows "Install" button for already installed application instead of "Open" or "Launch" button. This occurs with both hosted and packaged apps. Selecting "Install" button brings error message "App install error: REINSTALL_FORBIDDEN".

If user installs another app and stays in Marketplace, the buttons will show correctly until user exits, then re-launches Marketplace.

Repro Steps:
1) Update a Tarako to BuildID: 20140602014001
2) Launch Marketplace and install a featured app (does not have to be featured app, but this cuts down on repro steps)
3) Close Marketplace
4) Launch Marketplace and observe app that was installed

Actual:
Button for installed app shows as "Install" instead of "Open"

Expected:
Button for installed app shows as "Open" or "Launch"

The video ends directly after loading the page.  If I recall, it takes a half a second or so before the installed-detection code can run.  Krupa - can you reproduce this?

I saw the YouTube video. Can you check if you have any pending Marketplace updates? This bug was fixed in the newer build.

The apps I reproduced this with include Tower Jelly, The Weather Channel, and 2048.

Tested two Tarako devices flashed to the environmental variables from Comment 0. Attempted OTA Marketplace update with "required" system update. Both displayed error message "There was an error while downloading the updates." Marketplace update stops, system update continues and, when installed, rolls device back to 5/30 nightly build. These same results reproduce on both devices.

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1015138 was the bug this was addressed in. Not sure if everyone is on the latest build of Marketplace.

Once it says it's installed launch it from the browser app and you should see that it works fine ( there will be 2 marketplace apps, choose the one on the landing screen [ when you hit the home button ] ).

I think Krupa is right in that this may be a dup of the bug she mentioned.

After installing new Marketplace from link provided in Comment 8, issue appears to be fixed. The button initially shows "Install" even after installing, but changes to "Open" ~3 seconds later.

Based on the last comment, it seems like we need bug 1019055 to occur.

3 seconds is a bit long.  It might be a different issue though.  Please retest when bug 1019055 lands.

There will be a hard-coded ~3 second delay for now until we land a patch tomorrow that will allow us to write a patch that queries on installed apps upon an event. IIRC, it might not take that long on a subsequent launch of Marketplace.
