Once we land native jetpacks, we'll work integration with itchpad and we'll need some way to write zips, and possibly read zips (in order to make xpis).  I think would also be a useful api for add-ons devs.

Would be nice if we could just implement same API as most popular zip lib on npm.

Some work was done using Alex's zip module as well for my autoreloading jetpack addon from Paris workweek:
https://github.com/jsantell/jp-rocketjump/tree/master/lib

Not sure if any changes were made to it from Alex's, but can see it in use with modern APIs
