I tried to install Venkman, but now Mozilla won't start.
It stopped starting when I installed the tool.
I used Mozilla 0.9.4+ 20010920, on win 2000. Mozilla was installed using the
mozilla-win32-installer-sea.exe file.
I tried using mozilla -profilemanager to create a new profile, but it crashes
as well.
I didn't reinstall Mozilla.
I can try to delete my profile, but I would be happy to try to help before.
Maybe there is an underlying problem raised by this problem.
Perhaps is it related to quicklaunch?
Anything I should try before reinstalling?
I will be connected for around 30-40 minutes, with IE :(

As the install page says, those build work on 0.9.4 ONLY. Don't install it on a
nightly.
You could try removing jsd3250.dll from your components directory, delete
component.reg, and run regxpcom, or you could delete the mozilla directory and
re-install.

As you can see on the history of the install page
(http://www.mozilla.org/webtools/bonsai/cvslog.cgi?file=mozilla-
org/html/projects/venkman/venkman-install.html&rev=&root=/cvsroot/) the message
stating that Venkman shouldn't be installed on a nighlty was added on the 22nd,
i.e. after I had installed the plugin...
And as I had made a local copy of the install page on my PC, I hadn't checked
the page since.
Next time, if you can, warn in advance :))
Anyway, good point, your fix helped me and I am back with Mozilla.
As you are the owner of the Venkamn install Web page, you could perhaps modify
it:
'These may not work on the latest Mozilla nightly builds. If you're not running
the 0.9.4 release, you may risk losing the ability to start your browser (but
maybe not.) If you end up in this situation, you could try to do the following:
remove jsd3250.dll from your components directory, delete
component.reg, and run regxpcom.exe. Otherwise delete the mozilla directory and
re-install.'
Cheers and thanks.

Fair enough, changes checked in.
See <http://www.hacksrus.com/~ginda/venkman/venkman-install.html>. Mozilla.org
should reflect the changes within an hour or so.
