When looking at a list of apps in the Marketplace, the ratings show five stars, the "selected" ones blue, the not selected ones dark gray. This makes quick skimming of search results difficult, because the lack of contrast makes it hard to see quickly how many stars the app actually has. (Part of this might be suboptimal lighting of my mobile screen when on the go). Because the gray stars fulfill no major purpose of their own except visual neatness and to make clear there is a maximum of 5 that could be achieved, I suggest: - Either make it a lighter gray to ensure sufficient contrast, or - turn the gray stars into outlines only, so that it is abundantly clear that the filled-in stars are selected, the hollow ones are not.

Options attached: outlined, and lighter grey. I'd prefer lighter grey as outlined gets pretty mousey the smaller the icon (and crappier the screen). Thoughts?
The lighter grey looks like it almost disappears, can we do a thicker stroke on the outline to compensate for the lower quality screens?

Outlined at 2px with the darker grey. Looks better.
