102079 - 2 icons showing on up on desktop after installing 6.2

I just upgraded my version at home from 6.1 to 6.2.

the first thing I did was:
1) Remove all the files in my Netscape 6 directory so I'd have a clean install.

2) Then I installed todays branch build off sweetlou.

I ended up with two application icons on my desktop. Both point to the same
application. The first one says Netscape 6.1. The second one says netscape 6.2.
They both point to the new installation. 

When we install over a previous release shouldn't we be cleaning up the
application icon on the desktop?

this problem is caused by:
  http://bugscape.mcom.com/show_bug.cgi?id=9020

And it was requested that we do not attempt to remove the old shortcuts.
Adding nsBranch to get picked up on querries

cc'ed most of you: bugscape #9943.
