We probably need some UX around about:accounts and a master-password. Specifically, we probably want to say something to the user like "Sync will silently do nothing until your master-password is unlocked" and ideally would like to strongly encourage them to have an unlocked master-password when authenticating (otherwise they will need to reauth every time they unlock the MP and attempt to sync)

See bug 1013064 comment 10, the bullet-point starting with '* For signin/signup etc flows, we need to "encourage" an unlocked password.'

FWIW, bug 1013064 is getting towards a reasonable shape, so this is likely to start blocking that soon.
As discussed with Gavin, we are going to take the "low road" here - we will always prompt for a master-password unlock when about:accounts is opened. If the user cancels it, that's fine - we will store the credentials we can, and the rest will just be in memory. Next restart, Sync will require reauth, so about:accounts will again need to be opened - again causing a MP unlock.

So while we will not display any messaging to indicate why we are asking for an unlock, the user will eventually get the message.

That makes this bug INVALID.
