After launching a new app (making it the last in the list of open apps), the user can only swipe left to scroll through the other open apps. While this is logical, this means the user has to scroll through all the apps to get back to the first one. I suggest that the scroll should be "circular" so if the user swipes right, the first app should appear.

For expected behavior, please check the edge gestures meta bug (bug #991849) against which edge gestures issues are being tracked, and to the spec:

For this question specifically, this is by design. We tested this many, many times in user testing between Fall 2013 and May 2014. We want to preserve the users' sense of place, so there’s a definite boundary there. When we did not have this, users got confused, lost their place in the "stack," and felt they did not have a beginning and end, when they were trying to get back to a "beginning" or find "the end." The Sheets behavior also maps to that of the task switcher, which is also not a loop but more akin to a history (and in a history there is a start and end point).
