User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140506152807 Steps to reproduce: thunderbird (24.5.0) with lightning add-on (2.6.5) on ubuntu (14.04) Actual results: There is a frequent error message box prompting -> "This web page is being redirected to a new location. Would you like to resend the form data you have typed to the new location?" Irrespective of what I give 'ok' or 'cancel', it keeps popping up often It was working normally all through these days. I started getting this problem very recently. Nothing has changed in between (OS or thunderbird or addon update) I tried to disable every other addon and narrowed down to this addon. Expected results: There should not be any error message box
This happens when you attach lightning to a attach to a CalDav calendar on a network machine. It's a pretty pointless message as you already know that you are sharing a calendar. To have an "error" message every time you add or modify an event on the shared calendar is pretty pointless.
Steps to reproduce: - Open lightning and create a new calendar. - Select CalDav as the type and specify the location of the server - Add the calendar - Go to the calendar and add an event to the CalDav calendar. Expected result: - The event should add without complaint, it is after all the point of supporting CalDav Actual result: - An error message box is shown "his web page is being redirected to a new location. Would you like to resend the form data you have typed to the new location?" Notes: - This happens every single time you add or change an event in the CalDav calendar.
We are running into this error also.
I'm afraid that issues such as this one being outstanding for so long has pushed us into dropping Thunderbird. We have now moved to eMClient on Windows and Apple Mail on Mac. So long and thanks for all the delays.
I can say that I don't get this error anymore. Currently using Lightning 4.0.2.1
You can work around this problem using the config editor. Go into Preferences, Advanced, General, Config Editor, and change the preference network.http.prompt-temp-redirect from true to false.
