2001092806 Linux trunk Selection in URL-bar recently regressed: -When right-clicking to bring up the context-menu there, the URL itself "jumps" to the left (so the end of it displays) and then jumps back again. -Hitting "Select All" will color selection for a brief moment, and then the selection vanishes again. -Double-clicking to select the URL produces the same result: The visible text first jumps, gets selected, then immediately becomes deselected. Results: URL is not permanently selected (but a copy does take place, as expected) Context-menu cut, copy and delete are perm disabled since no selection exist for any periode of time anymore.

From bug 102298: Problem occurs only when Enable Location Bar Autocomplete is enabled in preferences.
Bug 102342 is another variant of this: dropdown menu is somewhat horked, impossible to use "paste". It's impossible with my own settings as well, if text was copied from anywhere else than urlbar. Upping severity.

it seems this only happens when the last character in URL-bar is a slash / remove the slash and the URL can be selected again
oops...wrong - it happens if i don't click once in the urlbar before selecting all
Did the 0.9.5 branch get cut before this appeared? if not, i'd say it's a pretty big show stopper. It's very visible and annoying.
I just pulled and build from CVS after checkin for bug 103611, and that fixed this one as well.
