Scrolling past the bottom of a scrollable object causes the object to zoom out. This affects pretty much any feature of any app that is scrollable. Web pages, the settings menu, messages, gallery and music are all affected.

The issue does not occur in v1.4

Repro Steps:
1) Update a Flame to BuildID: 20140610000223
2) Launch settings app.
3) Scroll down to bottom of settings list.
4) Continue to scroll down past bottom of settings list.

Actual:
The elements on the list appear to zoom out when scrolling past the list. observe the right edge of the list

Expected:
The elements do not zoom out.

That would be the recently landed APZ overscrolling feature: bug 998025.
Flags: needinfo?(bugmail.mozilla)
UX - Are you okay with the changes to the UX here as seen in the videos or not? If not, we'll need to re-evaluate design decisions made in bug 998025.

As Botond said, this behaviour is intentional. We have been working with Gordon from UX to tune the exact behaviour so yes, they should be ok with it. I'm going to close this bug as invalid for now but I'll leave the needinfo - reopen if needed.

Reopening this as it should have been flagged ui-review? for Gordon. Since there's no attachment, flagging ni? to Gordon so he can give review approval and let QA know if this should move forward exactly as is.

We can resolve the bug after we're sure it's well and truly done. Thanks, all!

Yeah that would be bug 1020045 which enabled overscrolling.

This is not a bug. The overscroll effect includes some z-space movement. There is ongoing tweaking of the physics settings, but this is working as intended (not a bug but work undergoing refinement).
