Steps to reproduce:

Version 24.6.0
The tree view of mailbox folder miss the folder size and total number of messages.



Actual results:

This happen at least for IMAP servers and local folder, but probably was simply disabled that GUI usefull function.
This automatically made invalid all the releted bugs on not updating those fields.


Expected results:

In past version there was: total number of messages, unread messages (still present) in bold, folder size in KB/MB.
In message tree there was a table header with the three columns activable, like in message list subwindow.

When did your problem start to occur? After upgrade to Tb 24.6.0 from 24.5.0?

"Unread mail count only at Folder Pane" is by Tb designer's & Tb developer's decision.
So, this kind of issue can't be "Bug"(flaw in code). This kind of issue should be Severity=Enhancement.
As for "total mail count and total mail size(not equivalent to 'folder size' which is sometimes 'total mail size' but sometimes 'file size')", "Extra Folder Columns" Addon already exists. I don't know whether it works in Tb 25.6.0 or not.

as previous version has the feature and this one no, it is a regression by definition.
I'm interested in the folder size builtin feature not in an Addon.
To be honest I'm not sure with which version the information disappear, TB changed version 24 times in past 2 years, forums and blog are full of hilarity on this, but this confused users on version features.

It's not coming back as a built in per bug 464973. 

Available as addon, as wada mentions https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/extra-folder-columns/  And also available in the folder properties screen via bug 768621
